It's hard for me to believe that Cooper is 1. Last Friday, on his birthday, he started walking. He would take a step or two between the coffee table and couch, but he wouldn't ever do more than that. All it took was a little bribing. I showed him the big cupcake that I made for him to eat and he took about 10 steps towards me. Since then, he has been walking more and more each day.
The morning of his birthday, Cooper woke up with a 103 degree fever and a bad cough, so we made a trip to the doctor that morning. Apparently, it was just the 'crud'. He got over it rather quickly, however, he has a new found hate for doctors now. He had his 12 month check up yesterday and was terrified of the doctor's office, the nurses, and the doctor. He screamed the entire time, and that is not like him at all. Hopefully, we don't have to go back there for a long time! Cooper weighed 23 lbs and 3 ozs, which is at the 50% for other babies his age. And he was 30 1/2 inches tall, which is at the 75%.
As you can see from the pictures below, Cooper really enjoyed his birthday cupcake.
After the cupcake and the bath
On Sunday, we had a party for Cooper with the whole family. It was a house full - which doesn't take much in our small house. The day went by so fast, but it was a good time.

Cooper with his cake that Grandma Kim made him
All of the kids- as you can see it was hard to get everyone to cooperate. But with 8 kids 5 & under what do you expect :)
