Spring fever

I think it's safe to say that everyone in our household is ready for some nicer weather. We have had a couple of nice days, but that is not enough for 3 boys who love the outdoors. Today it is fairly warm outside, but the wind is a whippin'. And then the ever dreaded snow is in the forecast for later this week - Yuck!!

On a happier note, yesterday, we took a bus with Kevin's Dad's side of the family to the Ft. Randell casino. It was a lot of fun! It is about a 3 hour bus ride each direction and it is a lot of fun visiting with everyone. There were about 25 of us that went. We were at the casino for about 4 hours, and I sat at the same blackjack table the entire time. Neither Kevin or I did that well, but it is such a good time when we all go together. My parents kept our kids for the day, and my sister Halie and her girls were there also. On Friday, Halie went to Omaha to have her wisdom teeth pulled, so I kept her girls that day so that my mom could go with her. It was definitely interesting taking care of 5 kids for the day. It was a lot of fun, too. Sue was watching my sister-in-law, Kelly's kids that day also, so they came over for awhile so that the kids could play. For the most part the kids played really well together

Last Sunday we visited my grandparents. It was also my Aunt Jean's birthday, so we had a little party as well. It was a nice visit and good to see everyone.

The boys are outside any chance they have. Here is what I found them doing one day - Kellen is 'sweeping' the drive way/field, and below Tyson is 'hoeing' the field. It always fun to watch my kids' imaginations at work.
